Our Story
Kenny's Landing, a hidden gem nestled on the shores of Lake Tawakoni, Texas, has welcomed fishing enthusiasts and nature lovers since 1978 when Kenny Reeder staked his life savings on a dream. What began as a simple bait shop and waterfront campground gradually expanded thru the years, becoming known by the community, as simply “The Landing”. The Landing is a beloved retreat where families return year after year to create memories under Texas skies.
Kenny, along side his mother Callie, built the history and memories created at The Landing, that so many hold dear to this day. Through the years Kenny and Callie with their boisterous personalities, welcomed customers. After 47 plus years in business, people everywhere in the community still share their stories. Stories of Kenny playing the spoons, summer nights listening to live music under the stars, and Callie’s gracious open arms.
Today, the joyful memories at The Landing carry on with the 3rd generation of the Reeder Family, Crystal. Though times have changed, the legacy that is Kenny’s Landing has remained, and is continuously committed to serving the community in the loving manner both her father Kenny, and Grandmother Callie, spent their lives creating. All are welcome to be a part of the history, memories, and legacy that will forever be Kenny’s Landing.
